Hello all!

Hope you are all well and enjoying the fine weather. We are having a lovely Summer so far which was seen us travelling all over Scotland playing for some totally appreciative and up for it audiences – it was really brilliant. Summer also means getting to visit some great festivals in unusual locations including Eigg, Solas, Stonehaven & Tiree (where there much bungee running to be had). All in all we are quite spoiled. Thanks to everyone that has invited us to play this year so far and to everyone that came and listened to us!

Cambridge Folk Festival

This weekend we hit Cambridge Folk Festival and it looks set to be a stonker of a weekend. Not only do we get to see and hang out with some of our favourite musicians but we are going to be reunited with our Québécois friends Le Vent Du Nord. We will be collaborating with them on the Saturday afternoon – very exciting! As well as this, James Lindsay and Megan have decided to keep themselves extra busy this weekend and will be performing alongside Bella Hardy and Heidi Talbot respectively. If you are at the festival you can come see us at the following times:

Saturday

Stage 1 1:05 pm

Sunday

2:45 pm

New album – Urlár

We can now announce that our new album will be entitled Urlár. We feel this title really reflects where we are coming from with this new record (lit. Ground) from the focus we put on taking inspiration and music from the places we grew up, whilst also directly referencing the piobaireachd ground. We begin recording at Castlesound Studios on the 12th August, exciting times! You can hear a preview of our new material from the most recent BBCAlba Taghadh bho na Trads program www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p019n0b6
