Hello all!

It’s been a while since the last newsletter and in that time we’ve had some great trips abroad to New York for Tartan Week, Paris for Festival Irlandays and we had a lovely concert at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall with the Glasgow Phoenix Choir. Now time for a wee update on some things that are coming up:

This weekend we head into the Galloway hills for the Knockengorroch World Ceilidh. It’s going to be our first festival of the Summer and we have heard it is quite a party!

New album

We are steadily putting together our brand new album which is due to be released this coming Autumn. We have the fantastic Kris Drever producing for us this time and he will be helping us make something really nice hopefully in August. For those of you coming to our June gigs you can be sure to hear some of our brand new material! More news on this soon.

Living Tradition

This month we are chuffed to announce that we are the cover feature of The Living Tradition magazine. Thanks guys!

In other cool news we are lucky enough to have our June tour sponsored by brand new Scottish craft-brewery six°north. They are a Stonehaven based company specializing in Belgian style brews! Check them out and if you make it out to one of the gigs we will hopefully have a few bottles for you to try (fingers crossed we don’t get too thirsty on the first night).

James Mackenzie Solo Album

James M has just finished his own solo album and from what little snippets we’ve heard it’s going to be a cracker. It features a host of great friends and players – Matheu Watson, Sean Gray, Hamish Napier, Robert Nairn, Alistair White & James Lindsay He will be launching it on his home island of Lewis at this years Heb Celt Fest. Stay tuned to or twitter @jamesdmackenzie for more information.

Salsa Celtica

Megan is away with the brilliant Salsa Celtica right now doing some gigs in preparation for their new album recording in June. Go check them out if they are in your area!

Man’s Ruin

Calum and James L are gearing up for the release of a new single from their folk-funk-hybrid project Man’s Ruin. If that kind of thing takes your fancy then you can pre-order the single right now – – remember to put your dancing shoes on.

Think that will do us for now! We hope to see you out there over the Summer.

All the best
